Job summary

Nicks painting is seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to join our Bondi Junction team. This casual position involves preparing surfaces, applying paints, varnishes, and finishes, and delivering high-quality results for our clients.

You will maintain equipment, protect client properties, follow safety protocols, and communicate with customers to understand requirements. A strong eye for detail, good physical fitness, and ability to work in a collaborative team are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in painting and decorating.
• Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card).
• Strong attention to detail with precision.
• Good physical fitness and stamina for manual tasks.
• Excellent time management and teamwork.
• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming before painting.
• Apply paint, varnish, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Mix paints and maintain colour consistency.
• Protect furniture, fixtures, and floors with drop cloths and masking tape.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
• Communicate with customers to understand requirements and expectations.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain and care for painting equipment and tools.

• Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work environment
• Communicating effectively with customers to understand their requirements and expectations
• Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintaining and caring for painting equipment and tools
