Job summary

VVK Painting and Maintenance Pty Ltd in Melbourne VIC is seeking an experienced Painter to join our busy team on a full-time basis. You will perform painting and decorating tasks across residential and commercial projects, upholding high workmanship and safety standards.

Key duties include surface prep, applying paints and coatings, colour matching, minor repairs, and ensuring sites are clean and compliant with WHS policies.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Painter or a relevant qualification.
• Knowledge of painting techniques, tools and materials.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Desirable valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching and cleaning.
• Apply paints, varnishes, stains and other protective coatings to various surfaces.
• Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve required colours.
• Fill cracks and holes and perform minor surface repairs.
• Work safely from ladders, scaffolding and elevated platforms.
• Keep sites clean and safe and protect surrounding areas.
• Read and interpret job specifications and client requirements.
• Ensure work meets high standards and timelines.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of painting and decorating duties across residential and commercial projects while maintaining high workmanship and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

About you
