Constant is recruiting Resident Support Officers to work overnight at our Canberra student accommodation site. You will be a calm, approachable presence, focusing on wellbeing and community support after hours.

Ideal candidates bring an ACT Security Licence, First Aid/CPR, RSA, and Working With Children Check, plus strong communication skills for resident inquiries and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Current RSA certification
• Current Working With Children Check
• Availability for overnight shifts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence with reporting and basic IT systems
• Calm, professional and approachable manner

Responsibilities

• Providing after-hours support to residents
• Responding to wellbeing concerns with empathy and professionalism
• Conducting regular security patrols and walkthroughs
• Monitoring access control and shared residential spaces
• Assisting with resident enquiries and access issues
• Responding to incidents, emergencies, and first-response situations
• Identifying hazards and escalating safety concerns
• Completing incident reports, daily activity reports, and system updates
• Supporting a respectful, inclusive residential culture
• Liaising with property management and emergency services when required
• Completing shift handovers and maintaining operational accountability
