Job summary

TeamKids is seeking Casual Educators for Inner Bayside locations including Mentone, Elwood and Brighton. Join a friendly, teacher-led team to support children before and after school and during school holidays. You will facilitate engaging activities, support children's safety, and collaborate with colleagues.

Flexible shifts: 7:00-9:00am, 2:30-6:30pm, plus holiday sessions. WWCC/Cert III or Diploma preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in Before/After School Care or education is helpful but not required.
• Passionate about working with children and helping them thrive.
• Confident communicator with children, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of before/after school programs and activities.
• Support children's safety, wellbeing and engagement during OSHC sessions.

Who is TeamKids?

The Role - Casual Educator

This is a role where no two days are the same! Work closely with a supportive team to gain valuable experience in the OSHC space and make a real difference in children's lives.

Location: Mentone, Elwood, Brighton and surrounding suburbs

Shifts available between:

• 7:00am–9:00am (Before School Care)
• 2:30pm–6:30pm (After School Care)
• Optional 6–8 hour shifts during school holidays

About You

• Ideally has previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can help you grow your skills!
• Passionate working with children and seeing them thrive
• Is involved, fun, a team player and ready to jump in
• Confident communicator with children, parents and colleagues

You’ll need (or be willing to get):

• Working with Children Check that is relevant to your state (WWCC,WWVP, Blue card, VIT)
• Has a Cert III or Diploma in an ACECQA approved course (or be working towards it) - Visit acecqa.gov.au to learn more about approved qualifications
• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids.
