Job summary

Anglicare Central Queensland Limited | Gladstone is seeking casual Outreach Support Workers to provide respite for carers by taking planned outings with young people, with shifts likely in the afternoon or on weekends, and opportunities to support in Residential Care homes as needed.

You will help young people develop life skills, maintain connections with family, culture and community, and participate in activities that promote safety, health and wellbeing, all in line with individual care

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention/Community Services or equivalent or working toward this qualification (proof of enrolment required).
• 1 year relevant experience working with young people in out of home care or similar field.
• Alternative qualifications or working towards: Certificate IV in Mental Health, Community Services or Youth Work.
• Diploma in Behavioural Science, Counselling, Nursing or Mental Health.
• All other training is available through AnglicareCQ.

About the role:

We are currently seeking casual Outreach Support Workers to join our team in Gladstone. Our Outreach Support Workers will provide respite to carers by taking planned outings with young people (these shifts are likely to take place in the afternoon or on the weekend). As part of the Residential Care team, shifts in our Residential Care homes will also be available.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention/Community Services or equivalent or working toward this qualification (proof of enrolment required).
