Anglicare Central Queensland Limited in Rockhampton is seeking a compassionate Placement SupportWorker to support foster carers and children, ensuring stable, trauma-informed placements that meet each child’s needs.

The role requires connection with families, skilled assessment, collaboration with Child Safety Services, and on-call duties, with a fixed-term full-time arrangement and a salary of AUD 92,575 p/a plus superannuation and salary sacrifice.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV level or higher in Community Services (Child Protection) with significant field experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with carers to support children in all aspects of life, at home and in the wider community.
• Use observational skills to contribute to the assessment of children and carers' needs.
• Collaborate with Child Safety Services, community agencies and elders to build sound working relationships.
• Provide on-call services through a scheduled roster.
• Identify carer training and developmental needs to ensure children's needs are met.

We'relooking for a compassionate and committed Placement SupportWorker, based in Rockhampton, to work closely with fostercarers, children and support services to ensure placements arestable, supportive and tailored to each child's unique needs. Youwork will help build brighter futures by fostering strongrelationships, advocating for children's wellbeing and deliverytrauma-informed, person-centred care that truly makes adifference.

What will a typical day look like?

• Engage with carersto support children in all aspects of life, at home and in thewider community.
• Useobservational and evaluation skills to contribute to theassessment of children and carers needs.
• Workcollaboratively with Child Safety Services, community agenciesand elders to establish and maintain sound workingrelationships.
• Provide on callservices through a scheduled roster.
• Identify carertraining and developmental needs to ensure the needs of thechildren are met.

MandatoryRequirements:

• Certificate IVlevel or higher in Community Services (Child Protection) withsignificant experience in a similar field.
