Job summary

The Extend Group is hiring an OSHC Vacation Care Service Assistant in Mount Barker, WA. The role involves delivering science, sports, and arts activities for children, while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment and healthy snack options.

You will support program delivery, engage with families, and help run coordinated OSHC activities across two local schools. A current childcare qualification and WWCC are preferred.

Qualifications

• You’ve got (or are studying toward) a relevant childcare qualification (Certificate III or Diploma or higher).
• A valid Working With Children Check and relevant training are required or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering engaging activities and experiences for children.
• Support safe and inclusive environments during OSHC sessions.
• Prepare healthy snacks and manage basic food safety.
• Contribute to delivering OSHC programs with community impact.

Job Details & Role

About your service: Work between two services located in King's Baptist Grammar School in Mount Barker & Tyndale Christian School in Strathalbyn.

Hourly Rate: $36.01 - $45.71 Per Hour + 12% Super.

Additional payment of $1.58 - $1.97 per hour available under Worker Retention Payment Scheme.

• Days Required: Monday to Friday.
• Shift Timings: Up to 6 hour shifts either in the morning or afternoon.
• Vacation Care: Up to 30 hours per week.
• Contract: Casual.
• Professional development sessions are paid training sessions, and Retention payments are above award.

What You Bring to the Mix

• The Qualification: You’ve got (or are studying toward) a Certificate III or Diploma (or higher qualification) in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care, Diploma, Bachelors, Masters and more. Check with us if your qualification is approved!
