Job summary

Mentone Girl’s Grammar is seeking an OSHC Service Coordinator to lead the after‑school program, plan engaging activities and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for every child.

You’ll manage daily operations, coordinate staff and partners, and deliver high‑quality programs with support from our compliance team. A Diploma/Bachelor in Early Childhood or related field is preferred; WWC, First Aid, CPR are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

  • WWC Check (Working With Children) is required or in process.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR required; Anaphylaxis & Asthma management training (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience or study in early childhood education and care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the OSHC program and plan engaging activities.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive environment for every child.
  • Manage day-to-day operations and staffing for the service.
  • Collaborate with Programs Engagement Manager and compliance team.
  • Engage with families and school leadership to build trusted partnerships.

Job Details & Role

About your service: Mentone Girl’s Grammar, Mentone.

Hourly Rate: $47.81 to $50.00 Per Hour + 12% Super.

Additional payment of $2.07 to $2.15 per hour available under Worker Retention Payment Scheme.

  • Days Required: Monday to Friday. Five days per week required (edit as required).
  • After School Care: 2:25 pm to 6:00 pm.
  • Total Hours: 17 hours and 55 minutes per week.
  • Contract: Casual.
  • Professional development sessions are paid training sessions, and Retention payments are above award.

As our OSHC Service Coordinator you will:

  • Safety First, Fun Always: Lead a safe, inclusive environment while every child feels like a rockstar.
  • Chef it up: Whip up healthy, tasty snacks that keep the energy levels high.
  • Champion Quality: Work with your Programs Engagement Manager on Assessment & Ratings with the full backing of our compliance experts at our unit TEG Compass.
  • The Community Connector: Ensure every stakeholder is heard and valued while building successful, integrated OSHC programs.
  • The Clockwork Catalyst: Manage the day-to-day “business” of the service, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.

  • The Qualification: You’ve got (or are studying toward) a Diploma, Bachelor’s, Masters in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care, Youth Work, Community Services, and more. Check with us if your qualification is approved!
