Job summary

The Extend Group is hiring an OOSH Vacation Care Service Assistant for Jerrabomberra Public School in New South Wales. You will help deliver engaging activities for kids, support safety and inclusivity, and assist with healthy snacks while building a connected community of care for children.

We value warm, engaging team members with a can-do attitude. A Working With Children Check and First Aid are required or willingness to obtain; certificates in Early Childhood related fields are desirable.

Job Details & Role

About your service: Jerrabomberra Public School, Jerrabomberra

Hourly Rate: $36.01 - $45.71 Per Hour + 12% Super.

Additional payment of $1.58 - $1.97 per hour available under Worker Retention Payment Scheme.

• Days Required: 2-3 shifts per week.
• Vacation Care:Up to 15 hours per week.
• Contract: Casual.
• Professional development sessions are paid training sessions, and Retention payments are above award.

As our OOSH Vacation Care Service Assistant you will:

• Create Awesome Experiences: Assist in delivering science experiments, sports tournaments, fun educational activities and creative arts that kids actually want to do!
• Safety First, Fun Always: Lead a safe, inclusive environment while every child feels like a rockstar.
• Chef it up: Whip up healthy, tasty snacks that keep the energy levels high.
• The Community Connector: Ensure every stakeholder is heard and valued while building successful, integrated OOSH programs.

What You Bring to the Mix

• The Qualification: You’ve got (or are studying toward) a Certificate III in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care, Diploma, Bachelors, Masters and more. Check with us if your qualification is approved! (Desirable, not essential).
• The Vibe: You’re warm, engaging, and have a "can-do" attitude.
• The Essentials: A valid Working With Children Check, Child Protection Training Certificate, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management (willingness to obtain).
