Job summary

Five Star HR is seeking an experienced Practice Manager for a private Orthopaedic practice. The role combines on-site presence in Lane Cove, NSW one day per week with remote work for the majority, plus remote support for the Dubbo clinic.

You will lead day-to-day operations, billing and admin workflows, supervise staff, and collaborate with the surgeon/practice owner to scale the growing practice while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience managing an Orthopaedic or specialist surgical private practice.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, DVA, Health Fund billing, and workers compensation processes.
• Ability to supervise administrative staff and manage clinics end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day practice workflows, phones, appointment scheduling, and theatre list coordination.
• Oversee billing, receipting, reconciliations, and claims using Gentu; support Eclipse implementation.
• Supervise the Medical Secretary and ensure admin tasks meet practice standards.
• Maintain communication with patients, referrers, hospitals, and stakeholders.
