Job summary

NQ Asphalt in Cairns region is seeking an motivated and organised Operations Support Officer to centralise operational coordination and keep day-to-day asphalt operations running smoothly. You will work with the Operations Manager and Supervisors on scheduling, workforce planning, tender support, payroll and accounts administration, helping the business run efficiently and safely.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations support, project administration, finance, or similar role.
• Ability to coordinate people and resources and manage scheduling.
• Proactive with strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to Operations Manager and Supervisors to ensure efficient delivery of asphalt operations.
• Assist with roster scheduling and crew allocation to meet requirements.
• Coordinate plant and equipment availability and scheduling to avoid downtime.
• Oversee payroll processing and accounts payable/receivable activities.
• Support tendering, pricing processes and project administration.
• Build relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
