Job summary

Austek Roads is seeking an enthusiastic Asphalt Crew Truck Operator/ Machine Operator to join our Luscombe, QLD crew. You will contribute to asphalt paving operations across our projects, helping deliver vital infrastructure on time and to a high standard.

Ideal candidates will hold White Card, Construction Card, a valid license, and demonstrate strong physical fitness, teamwork and safe work practices on site.

Qualifications

• White Card / Construction Card required.
• HR/MR Licence desirable for travel and site access.
• Plant & Machinery Tickets and VOCs desirable.
• Experience as an Asphalt Crew Member required.
• Familiarity with operation and maintenance of asphalt paving equipment.
• Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
• Excellent teamwork and communication.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out road preparation, asphalt placement, compaction, profiling and general labouring duties.
• Assist with loading, unloading and handling materials, tools and equipment.
• Maintain allocated equipment, tools and work areas in a clean, safe condition and report defects.
• Carry out daily pre-start inspections and complete required inspections and documentation.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Austek Roads is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Asphalt Crew Truck Operator/ Machine Operator to join our crew based out of Luscombe, QLD. You will play a crucial role in supporting our asphalt paving operations, contributing to the successful delivery of vital infrastructure projects across the region.

What you'll be doing

Perform asphalt construction duties as directed by the Crew Leader or Supervisor.

Operate hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Carry out road preparation, asphalt placement, compaction, profiling and general labouring duties as required.

Assist with loading, unloading and handling materials, tools and equipment.

Maintain allocated equipment, tools and work areas in a clean, safe and serviceable condition, and promptly report any defects or maintenance requirements.

Carry out daily pre-start inspections and complete all required inspections and documentation.
