RFD Asphalt on the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced Asphalt foreman/supervisor to lead our crew on private and commercial projects, with an opportunity for an experienced leading hand to move up.

You'll oversee delivery from site setup to project completion, mentor team members, and liaise with clients, directors, and council specs to meet quality and safety standards. This permanent role is available to start asap.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of how to plan and deliver a project.
• Awareness of TMR and local council specifications.
• Ability to communicate efficiently with crew and clients.

• Skilled at all asphalting processes (Rack, Roll, Level, Paver, Skid Steer).

Responsabilités

• Start before crew to organise equipment and trucks for shift.
• Deliver projects from arrival to departure.
• Conduct site inspections with Director for future projects.
• Liaise with client on arrival and departure of projects.
• Assist with plant and machinery maintenance management.
• Organise and run morning pre-start meetings and toolbox talks.

We are looking for an Asphalt foreman/Supervisor to join our growing team on the Sunshine Coast. We will also consider an experienced leading hand who is ready to move up into a more senior leadership role.

RFD Asphalt is a local company that has been operating successfully for the past 20 years. Under new ownership since 2023, the company is growing as it transitions from residential work into commercial and government projects.

This is a great opportunity to join a company early in its transformation into a major asphalt contractor in South East Queensland.

You will be the Foreman/Supervisor of an asphalt crew operating on the Sunshine Coast and regional SE QLD.

This position will be a permanent role ideally available to start asap.

Requirements:

• Comprehensive understanding of how to plan and delivery a project (Inspect site, set out paver runs, measure and order asphalt etc)
• Understanding/awareness of TMR specifications as well as local council specifications.
• Ability to communicate efficiently with crew and politely with Clients
• Able to mentor younger team members
• Skilled at all asphalting processes - Rack, Roll, Level, Paver, Skid Steer Etc
• Quality focused - no excuses, only solutions to getting best outcomes for clients in a timely manner
• A team-focused mindset with great work ethic, proactive with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
