Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking an Operations Support Officer to collaborate with the Head of Operations, Systems Delivery, ensuring smooth SDG operations. The role focuses on implementing efficiency improvements and supporting day-to-day activities across the business.

The successful candidate will assist with budgeting, forecasting and resource planning while coordinating seating, equipment provisioning, and reporting for leadership. Hybrid work options are available, with a fixed 12-month term.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in operations, administration, or project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Head of Operations, Systems Delivery to ensure efficient operation of the SDG.
• Support day-to-day business operations and identify initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Track SDG overhead expenses and assist with budget management.
• Assist with quarterly forecasting, workforce planning and annual budgeting.
• Coordinate resource planning activities and maintain workforce data.
• Prepare reports/presentations for executive leadership and liaise with corporate functions.
