Saab Australia is seeking a Data Management Team Lead to govern and deliver critical information across Defence programs. Lead a high-performing team, ensure secure handling, and implement governance frameworks within a complex engineering environment.

The role reports to the Configuration Manager and involves collaboration with project managers and engineering leaders to drive continuous improvement and compliant data management across multiple programs.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Data Management within Defence, engineering or other highly regulated industries.
• Demonstrated experience leading Data Management teams and delivering services across multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of document control, records management, information governance and secure data handling practices.
• Experience managing classified, export-controlled, commercially sensitive and IP-restricted information.
• Experience implementing Data Management frameworks, workflows and processes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
• Experience using enterprise information management and document control systems.
• Exposure to IFS Applications or similar enterprise information management platforms will be highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Data Management professionals.
• Oversee document control, records management, Safe Hand activities, configuration tracking and software release support.
• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of Data Management frameworks, processes and governance.
• Partner with project and engineering teams to ensure compliant management, control and distribution of project information and deliverables.
• Provide subject matter expertise on information governance, security classifications, export controls and commercial-in-confidence information.
• Develop and maintain Data Management plans, processes, procedures and work instructions.
• Support business growth through resource planning, service delivery improvements and stakeholder engagement.
• Champion a culture of quality, collaboration and continuous improvement across the organisation.
