1 Spring Street Hotel & Residences is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the 50-room residence at Elizabeth Quay, Perth. You will lead guest services, housekeeping and restaurant service, ensuring a polished, guest-focused operation from day one.

As part of the founding team, you will drive pre-opening readiness, establish procedures and build a high-performing, guest-centric team with strong leadership and cost-conscious management.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Operations Manager, Residence Manager or senior hospitality leader.
• Pre-opening experience is highly regarded.
• Hands-on, visible and supportive leadership style.
• Strong people leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Sound commercial understanding, including labour management and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening setup, operating procedures, service trials and team readiness.
• Oversee daily residence operations including guest services, housekeeping and restaurant service.
• Recruit, train, coach and lead operational team members.
• Maintain high standards of guest service, presentation, cleanliness, safety and guest satisfaction.
• Manage guest feedback and service recovery professionally.
• Prepare and manage rosters, labour costs, stock control and operational expenses.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, RSA and liquor licensing requirements.

1 Spring Street Hotel & Residences is an upcoming 50-room residence located at One Spring Street, Elizabeth Quay.

As we prepare to open, we are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Operations Manager to join our founding team and help create a polished, welcoming and memorable guest experience from day one.

About the Role

You will oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the 50‑room residence, including guest services, housekeeping and restaurant service. You will lead pre‑opening readiness, establish operational procedures and build a high‑performing, guest‑focused team.

Key Responsibilities

The Successful Candidate Will Possess

• Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Residence Manager, Hotel Manager or senior hospitality leader.
• Strong experience in accommodation, guest services, housekeeping and Food & Beverage operations.
• Pre‑opening experience is highly regarded.
• A hands‑on, visible and supportive leadership style.
• Strong people leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Sound commercial understanding, including labour management and cost control.
• Current RSA certification; Approved Manager and food safety experience are advantageous.
