Job summary

The Marina Mindarie Pty is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across The Boat, Indian Ocean Brewing Company, Taverna Pool Bar and Lifeboat, plus the 18-room boutique hotel and marina facilities in Mindarie.

You will drive strategic planning, budgets and capital expenditure with the General Manager, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, high service standards, and efficient cross-venue operations through strong team leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Operations Manager in a hospitality setting.
• Strong F&B background with margin and profit focus.
• Proven ability to lead multi-venue teams.
• Knowledge of WHS, food safety and liquor licensing.
• Current WA Approved Manager's Card and WA Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations at Marina Mindarie under the instruction of the General Manager
• Have meaningful input into strategy, business plans, budgets and capital expenditure and ensure the delivery of strategic planning
• Oversee strategic plans and their implementation across Venue Managers and Department Heads
• Ensure the patron experience is consistently excellent across all operational outlets
• Maintain and curate service standards and procedures across all aspects of the business
• In conjunction with the General Manager, Venue Managers and Executive Chef create relevant seasonal food and beverage offerings to complement the individual venues
• Oversee brewery production with the Head of Production to meet venue demand, quality standards and cost targets
• Ensure presentation, cleanliness, ambience and maintenance are managed to a high standard across the property
• Lead and mentor the large and diverse team across multiple venues and operations

Job description

The Marina Mindarie, Perth's premier waterfront hospitality precinct, is looking for an Operations Manager to work within the team managing its extensive business operations. F&B operations include; The Boat, Indian Ocean Brewing Company, Taverna Pool Bar and Lifeboat. Other operations include an 18-room boutique hotel and a 250-pen marina and fuelling facility. Expansion plans are well underway to add a further F&B Sports Bar offering and a 14-hole adventure Mini Golf operation in 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee strategic plans and their implementation across Venue Managers and Department Heads

About you

• Experience as an Operations Manager in a similar role
• A strong Food & Beverage background with proven results managing margin and profit outcomes
• A high level of competence with the general management of all aspects of a hospitality business
• Experience in digital platforms such as Bepoz, Tanda, Roommaster or similar and consistently looking for ways to improve the property's systems and efficiencies
• Current up to date knowledge of WHS, food safety and liquor licensing obligations
• A current WA Approved Manager's Card and WA Driver's License
• A flexible availability understanding the role is hospitality management with core hours being over the weekend with RDO being mid week
