Job summary

EV Dealer Group in Queensland, Australia, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimise operations across BYD retail partners. You will analyse partner performance, drive onboarding for new partners, and translate data into clear action with stakeholders to support growth and exceptional customer experiences.

You will manage KPIs, mentor high-performing teams, and implement continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Sales Manager or senior leadership role in Automotive.
• Ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with operational reporting, KPI management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• High competency and understanding of digital operations.

Responsibilities

• Monthly visits to retail partner sites for performance reviews and benchmarking.
• Support dealers to ensure KPIs are met through training and speed to deliver.
• Escalation point for stock, funds and other partner issues.
• Review weekly forecasts for all partner sites to determine accuracy.
• Monitor KPIs and drive accountability across teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements to support growth.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support rollout of new dealership, service and operational initiatives across Queensland.
• Review and support marketing activities to drive enquiry levels.

About the Role

The Operations Manager will be responsible for supporting our retail partners to grow and develop their businesses. Retail partners form a critical part of the growth of the BYD brand in Queensland and Australia and this can include partners who have been there from the beginning as well as partners who are new and require on boarding. The role will require a strong sales and analytical background to dissect the data, understand the opportunities and areas of improvement, and then be able to communicate clearly and effectively to the key stake holders of the partner business to help them implement change and execute strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Monthly visit to all retail partner sites for review
  • Dealer performance
  • PMA performance
  • Performance against targets
  • Car Care & Accessory performance and compliance
  • Finance & Insurance Performance and compliance
  • NPS performance
  • Mystery shop performance
  • Speed to delivery
  • Weekly review of allocations
  • Prepare data pack to enable retail partner performance benchmarking
• Support dealer to ensure KPIs being met throughout month (training, speed to deliver, etc)
• Escalation point for any retail partner assistance around stock, funds, misc., etc
• Review weekly forecast for all partner sites to determine accuracy
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive accountability across teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements to support business growth.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About You

Essential Requirements
