Job summary

CODES Air Conditioning & Electrical, Adelaide SA, is seeking an Operations Manager to own day-to-day operations for our commercial HVAC & electrical business. You’ll coordinate trades, manage budgets, and drive project delivery from estimating through to completion.

Are you an experienced electrician, mechanical electrician, HVAC technician, leading hand, supervisor or project manager ready to step off the tools and take the next step?

CODES is looking for an Operations Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day operations and help drive the next stage of our growing commercial HVAC & electrical business.

Working directly with the Managing Director, you'll be responsible for keeping our projects, people and operations running efficiently.

You’ll oversee:

• Scheduling and allocating trades across projects
• Monitoring job progress and labour budgets
• Material planning and procurement
• Supporting project delivery from estimating through to completion
• Working with builders, clients and suppliers
• Identifying issues before they become problems
• Leading and developing our electrical/HVAC team
• Improving systems, processes and accountability
• Monitoring project profitability and protecting our GP Targets

We're looking for someone who:

• Has strong commercial construction / HVAC / electrical experience
• Can confidently lead people and make decisions
• Understands labour, productivity and job profitability
• Is organised, proactive and commercially minded
• Communicates well with trades, builders and clients
• Can identify problems and, more importantly, fix them
• Takes pride in quality work and building a strong team
• Is ready to take genuine ownership of an operation

$50–$55/hr + vehicle allowance
