Full Time | Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm | $85,000 + Super | Based in Newcastle
Darrall Gibson & Sons is a locally owned commercial plastering business with over 60 years of experience working on large-scale projects across Newcastle and the Hunter Region. We're looking for a reliable, organised Operations Coordinator to support our project managers, estimators and site teams across QA, WHS, estimating and site administration. An immediate start is available for the right person.
This is a busy, varied role that moves between the office and site. If you're someone who gets things done, pays attention to detail and is happy to put your hand up for whatever needs doing, you'll fit in well here.
Assist project managers with ITPs, quality checklists, photo records and submittals
Prepare and manage WHS paperwork, checklists, submittals and site inductions
Collate pricing and supplier quotes to support the estimating team
Help prepare tender submissions and track variations through to approval
Assist with site record keeping, correspondence and day-to-day administration
Liaise with builders and principal contractors on documentation and site requirements
Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with construction platforms such as Aconex, Procore, HammerTech or Simpel — or the ability to pick them up quickly
Some experience in the building or construction industry
Experience with WHS management or administration
Current White Card and driver's licence
Organised and reliable, with strong attention to detail
Able to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities when needed
Clear communicator — with site teams, estimators and builders alike
Happy to get involved and do what needs to be done
This role suits a recent construction management graduate after broad, hands-on experience — or a tradesperson ready to move off the tools and into a project support role. If you've come at it from a different angle but have relevant experience, we'd still like to hear from you.
$85,000 salary + Superannuation
Fuel allowance and phone allowance
Laptop provided
Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm
Real exposure to all areas of a large subcontracting business, with room to grow into project management or estimating
