Job summary

Darrall Gibson & Sons Plasterers Pty Ltd in Mayfield, NSW, is seeking a reliable Storeman/Delivery Driver for a full-time, Mon-Fri role based in the Newcastle region. The position offers $52.00/hr plus allowances and 14.5% super, with a 36-hour week and a 6am–2pm start.

You will stock, manage deliveries, liaise with suppliers, and deliver materials to site, keeping the store organized and vehicles maintained.

Qualifications

• Current MR truck licence with hands-on experience.
• Current forklift licence with hands-on experience.
• White Card (Construction Induction) holder.
• Background in storeman or construction roles.

Responsibilities

• Receive, manage, and stock incoming deliveries; maintain stock levels.
• Order materials and liaise with suppliers on orders and timing.
• Deliver materials to site and collect goods from suppliers.
• Remove surplus materials and complete tip runs as needed.
• Maintain site sheds, store cleanliness, and warehouse organisation.
• Maintain company vehicles and forklift.
• Assist site personnel and respond to changing site needs.

Full Time | Monday–Friday, 6am–2pm | $52.00/hr + Allowances + 14.5% Super | Based in Mayfield

Darrall Gibson & Sons is a locally owned commercial plastering business with over 60 years experience working on large-scale projects across Newcastle and the Hunter Region. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Storeman/Delivery Driver to keep our materials moving and our projects supplied. An immediate start is available for the right person.

This is a key role in our business. You'll be the link between our suppliers, our store and our sites. you'll have real scope to make the role your own.

What You’ll Do

• Receive, manage, and stock incoming deliveries; maintain accurate stock levels across multiple projects




• Order materials and liaise with suppliers on orders, pickups, and timing




• Deliver materials to site and collect goods from suppliers




• Remove surplus materials from site and complete tip runs as needed




• Maintain site sheds, store cleanliness, and overall warehouse organisation




• Maintain company vehicles and forklift




• Assist site personnel and respond to changing site needs throughout the day

What You’ll Need

• Current Medium Rigid (MR) truck licence with hands-on experience




• Current Forklift licence with hands-on experience




• White Card (Construction Induction)




• Background in storeman or construction roles

• Can-do attitude with the ability to juggle multiple priorities




• Comfortable when plans change — and they will




• Clear communicator with suppliers, site teams, and the office




• Takes pride in a well-run store
