Job summary

Preacta Recruitment is hiring an Operational Risk Manager for a Sydney-based, permanent role with a circa AUD 170k salary plus super. The position sits in the risk function and involves second-line oversight across the business to challenge approaches and drive practical risk improvements.

The role requires independent thinking, cross-functional influence and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Exposure to financial services risk management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Operational Risk, Risk & Controls, or a similar financial services role.
• Strong understanding of risk controls, incident management and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and manage operational risks across the business.
• Challenge RCSAs, control effectiveness and existing risk management practices.
• Oversee incidents, root-cause analysis and remediation activities.
• Provide risk input into business change and strategic initiatives.
• Analyse risk trends and help improve risk reporting and governance.
• Contribute to the development of the wider risk management framework.
