Job summary

Atherton Davis is recruiting a senior Operational Risk role for a large global proprietary trading firm, based in Sydney. The position manages risk and controls across the Asia-Pacific region and supports the development and execution of the operational risk management framework.

You will identify, assess, and monitor operational risks, evaluate control effectiveness, and deliver practical risk management solutions in a fast-paced trading environment, working closely with business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of operational risk experience in financial markets/trading.
• Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks including RCSA, control testing, and issue management.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Atherton Davis is recruiting a senior Operational Risk position for a large global proprietary trading firm that is growing rapidly throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Newly created position based out of the Sydney office to manage risk and controls across the Asia pacific region and to support the development and execution of the operational risk management framework. Working closely with business stakeholders, you'll help identify, assess, and monitor operational risks, evaluate control effectiveness, and support the delivery of practical risk management solutions in a fast-paced trading environment.

The ideal background would be strong operational risk experience c7-10 years coming from a financial markets or trading environment. You must have a strong and demonstrable understanding of operational risk frameworks, including risk control self-assessments, control testing and issue management in additional to excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
