u&u Recruitment Partners is seeking a Risk Manager in Sydney to establish and embed a robust first-line risk framework. You will work with Finance and operations to identify, assess, and mitigate key risks, strengthening risk registers and controls, while delivering practical improvements within a fixed-term 12-month assignment.

The role highlights hands-on risk ownership, robust reporting to senior leaders, and close collaboration with finance, operations and the second line where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience in first-line risk, operational risk, controls, governance or internal audit.
• Comfortable working with Finance and operational stakeholders to identify risks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Establishing and embedding a robust first-line risk management framework.
• Reviewing and enhancing the existing risk and control environment.
• Working with Finance and business leaders to identify, assess and mitigate key risks.
• Strengthening risk registers, control documentation and risk reporting.
• Reviewing the effectiveness of existing controls and identifying practical improvements.
• Supporting risk and control self-assessments and remediation actions.
• Developing and tracking risk treatment plans and escalation pathways.
• Providing clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
