Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Operations Coordinator for the Mackay team to orchestrate daily collection schedules, optimise routes, and deliver top-tier service to customers. The role is on-site, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and operational improvement.

You will review driver documentation, perform admin tasks, and maintain orderly records while pursuing route efficiency and effective resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role, preferably in transport/logistics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.

Responsibilities

• Check and review driver paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform administrative tasks and maintain organised records/files.
• Manage the daily collection schedule to optimise resource allocation and ensure job completion.
• Identify route optimisation and continuous improvement opportunities to maximise efficiency.
• Ensure safety standards are maintained and carry out risk assessments.
