BMD is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join our FIFO project team delivering major construction and infrastructure projects across Western Australia. This hands-on role focuses on practical safety leadership, supporting operational teams, and driving a proactive safety culture in the field.

The successful candidate will bring substantial safety experience in construction environments, strong WHS knowledge, and the ability to influence frontline teams while maintaining excellent

Qualifications

• Experience as a Safety Advisor in construction, civil, infrastructure or major project environments.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and safety systems.
• Ability to build relationships and positively influence frontline teams.
• Confident in fast-paced, contractor-based project environments.
• Excellent communication, reporting and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams to support safe and efficient project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and field leadership activities.
• Facilitate risk assessments and verify critical controls are in place.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Deliver safety coaching, toolbox talks and workforce engagement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with project, legislative and company safety requirements.
