Job summary

Mcnally Group Contracting Pty Ltd – Melbourne VIC is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor for FIFO roles across WA with interstate and New Zealand applicants welcome. The role focuses on safety leadership in remote construction environments, reporting to the HSEQ Manager, and driving compliance with site and client standards.

You'll provide proactive safety guidance, lead investigations, and support continuous safety improvements across major projects, including onboarding and mobilization

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' hands-on HSE Advisor experience in construction/mining/resources projects.
• Experience on Tier 1 mining or major construction projects with client requirements.
• Recognised WHS/HSE qualification (Certificate IV or Diploma) subject to verification.
• Strong knowledge of high-risk construction activities, hazard identification, risk management and incident investigation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with managers, supervisors, employees, subcontractors and client representatives.
• Must meet mine-site onboarding, medical, induction and mobilization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive, hands-on HSE advice and support to project teams and subcontractors.
• Monitor compliance with project HSE management plans, procedures and client standards.
• Facilitate site inspections, risk assessments, toolbox talks and safety initiatives.
• Lead and support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Coach supervisors and staff to improve safe work practices and accountability.
• Support project reporting, audits, high-risk controls and safety assurance.
