Job summary

Unisys is seeking an IT Field Engineer to provide hands-on technical support across client sites and depots in Sydney. You will diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, server and network faults, with hardware break-fix, installations and re-imaging tasks.

The role offers a casual engagement with variable days and hours (roughly 8:30am–4:30pm) and opportunities to develop within Unisys' global technology network, supported by experienced teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated onsite or field-based IT support experience.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to obtain Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
• Unrestricted Australian working rights for security-clearance eligibility.
• Strong knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware, operating systems and peripherals.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware issues.
• Experience with device installation, configuration, upgrades and re-imaging.
• Working knowledge of printers, network devices and server hardware.
• Ability to manage escalated incidents and work independently across client sites.
• Strong communication, documentation and customer-service skills.
• A+ certification or equivalent qualification is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, server and network faults.
• Perform hardware repairs, component replacements and preventative maintenance.
• Attend client sites and manage escalated technical service requests.
• Install, configure, upgrade and re-image computers and associated equipment.
• Complete installs, moves, adds and changes within client environments.
• Provide advanced onsite support across hardware operating systems.
• Investigate recurring issues and identify long-term solutions.
• Coordinate with Service Desk, vendors and internal technical specialists.
• Maintain accurate service records, documentation and asset information.
• Deliver professional, responsive service throughout every client interaction.
