Job summary

Informa in Sydney is seeking an Event Operations Coordinator to assist with the detailed planning and safe on-site delivery of the Australian International Boat Show (AIBS). The role blends hands-on site work with administrative tasks, requiring a methodical approach and calm communication with exhibitors and contractors.

The role will support floor plans, logistics, permits, credentials and contractor deliverables, while ensuring adherence to WHS policies and procedures in a busy event

Qualifications

• Competence with Microsoft 365 and modern office tools; experience with Word, Excel and Outlook is beneficial.
• Autocad proficiency or willingness to complete a short course is advantageous.
• Strong communication, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a busy event environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with office-based operational planning, schedules, processes and documentation for AIBS and related functions.
• Communicate with exhibitors and contractors regarding space options, bookings, and deadlines.
• Prepare and maintain WHS plans, risk documentation, inductions and incident records.
• Attend site meetings, inspections and supplier briefings; support logistics and on-site coordination.
• Deliver operational functions on site as per the approved plan and ensure safety compliance.
