Job summary

Mingara Recreation Club on the Central Coast is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Lifeguard. You will supervise the aquatics space, respond to risks, and contribute to a safe, welcoming member experience, while also managing water quality and plant room operations.

We value teamwork and development; shifts range from 4:45am to 8pm, Monday through Sunday, with above award wages and growth opportunities including scholarships and staff perks.

Qualifications

• Requires Pool Lifeguard licence, First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Current Pool Lifeguard licence
• Previous lifeguard / SLSC experience

Job description

Looking to kickstart or continue your aquatics career? We're seeking energetic and customer-focused people to join our Lifeguard team!

The Role

As a Permanent Part-Time Lifeguard, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the member experience and keeping our destination safe. You will build great relationships with our members and provide supervision over the aquatics space, identifying and responding to potential risks in and around the water. This role will also see you managing water quality and plant room functions.

About You

You will be a team player, natural communicator and have a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of our local community.

In addition, you will meet the following criteria:

• Pool Lifeguard licence, First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willing and able to obtain, paid for by us!)
• Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Current Pool Lifeguard licence
• Previous lifeguard / SLSC experience

Our successful candidate is also willing to requalify annually in all Lifeguard specific competencies and annually (paid for by us!)

Flexible hours and days are required for this role. Shifts range from open (4:45am) to close (8pm) Monday-Sunday
