Job summary

One by Mingara is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Junior Lifeguard who will supervise aquatic areas, deliver great customer service, and help maintain water quality and plant room operations. The role offers weeknight and weekend shifts across our operating hours in a welcoming community club environment.

You will join a team focused on safety and community engagement, with opportunities to develop in the aquatics industry and supported training funded by the club.

Qualifications

• Pool Lifeguard licence, First Aid & CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain, funded by us).
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Current Pool Lifeguard licence and previous lifeguard/SLSC experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise aquatic areas to keep members safe and engaged.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to potential risks.
• Assist with water quality and plant room operations.
• Requalify annually in Lifeguard competencies (paid by us).

The Role

Are you passionate about the water and looking to start a career in aquatics? As a Permanent Part-Time Junior Lifeguard, you will help create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for our members by supervising aquatic areas, providing great customer service, responding to potential risks, and assisting with water quality and plant room operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the aquatics industry, with weeknight and weekend shifts available across our operating hours.

In addition, you will meet the following criteria:

Our successful candidate is also willing to requalify annually in all Lifeguard specific competencies and annually (paid for by us!)
