Job summary

At Mingara Recreation Club, we are looking for energetic Lifeguards to join our permanent part-time team in Gosford. You will supervise the aquatics area, identify risks, and help maintain water quality and plant room functions while delivering excellent member experiences.

You’ll be part of a supportive community, with above award wages, roster published 4 weeks in advance, and benefits including free gym membership and staff discounts. Training and annual requalification are paid by us.

Qualifications

• Pool Lifeguard licence, First Aid & CPR certificates (or willing and able to obtain, paid for by us!)
• Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Current Pool Lifeguard licence
• Previous lifeguard / SLSC experience

Responsibilities

• Supervise the aquatics space and identify/respond to potential risks in and around the water
• Maintain water quality and manage plant room functions
• Build relationships with members and contribute to a safe, friendly environment
• Be flexible with shifts from early morning to evening across Mon–Sun

Looking to kickstart or continue your aquatics career? We’re seeking energetic and customer-focused people to join our Lifeguard team!

The Role

As a Permanent Part-Time Lifeguard, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the member experience and keeping our destination safe. You will build great relationships with our members and provide supervision over the aquatics space, identifying and responding to potential risks in and around the water. This role will also see you managing water quality and plant room functions.

About You

You will be a team player, natural communicator and have a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of our local community.

In addition, you will meet the following criteria:

• Pool Lifeguard licence, First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willing and able to obtain, paid for by us!)

Our successful candidate is also willing to requalify annually in all Lifeguard specific competencies and annually (paid for by us!)

• Flexible hours and days are required for this role. Shifts range from open (4:45am) to close (8pm) Monday-Sunday
