Job summary

ABC Heavy Engineering is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our onsite team in the Bowen Basin. The role involves maintenance, servicing, repairs, overhauls and PCRs for CAT graders and dozers on a 7 days on, 7 days off rotating day/night shift.

Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, CBM, S11 and BMA Core Induction are required, with strong diagnostic skills and commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification required for the role.
• CBM and S11 certifications are essential.
• BMA Core Induction is stated as a requirement.
• Experience in heavy mining/earthmoving equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, repair, overhaul heavy mining equipment.
• Undertake PCRs for CAT graders and dozers and related diagnostics.
• Diagnose faults with safety and quality in mind.
• Work independently and as part of a team on site.

7:7 Day/Night Roster | Excellent Hourly Rate | Accommodation & Meals Provided

ABC Heavy Engineering is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our onsite team working in an Ancillary Workshop in the Bowen Basin.

This is an ongoing position working a 7 days on, 7 days off rotating day/night shift roster, undertaking maintenance, servicing, repairs, overhauls and rebuilds of heavy mining equipment.

What you'll bring

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
• Current Coal Board Medical (CBM)
• Current Standard 11 (S11)
• BMA Core Induction
• Experience in heavy mining/earthmoving equipment maintenance, servicing, repairs, overhauls and PCRs for CAT graders and dozers
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
