Job summary

Aston Advantage is seeking a Trade Qualified Diesel Fitter for a workshop role in Yatala, QLD, maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy mining and earthmoving equipment.

This position offers a Mon-Fri roster with 10–10.5 hour days, overtime, and a temp-to-perm pathway, plus exposure to CAT 785 haul trucks and other major mining machinery. Home every night and a stable local workshop environment are included.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter with mobile plant/mining equipment experience.
• Experience with heavy mining and earthmoving equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and hydraulic maintenance skills.
• Current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing heavy mining and earthmoving equipment.
• Preventative and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Breakdown repairs and troubleshooting.
• Maintaining workshop and safety standards.
• Completing maintenance reports and paperwork.
• Supporting fleet reliability and workshop productivity.
• Working on haul trucks, mobile plant, crushers, screens, agricultural equipment and light vehicles.
