Job summary

AAMG in Queensland is expanding its maintenance team and seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join on a permanent basis. You will work on heavy mobile mining equipment across sites, performing planned maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and field service support, with a focus on safety and quality.

This role offers an hourly rate of $75–$80 plus super, a fully maintained company ute, and ongoing opportunities across Queensland mining operations.

Qualifications

• Recognised Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanical trade qualification.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Current driver’s licence and a willingness to work across Queensland sites.
• Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical.
• Commitment to safety, reliability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and preventative maintenance on heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs.
• Provide breakdown and field service support.
• Complete equipment inspections and component replacements.
• Work collaboratively with site maintenance teams.
• Follow site safety procedures and maintain high workmanship standards.

AAMG is expanding its Queensland maintenance workforce and seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our team on a permanent basis.

Working alongside a leading mining equipment maintenance provider, you'll gain exposure to a range of heavy mobile mining equipment, with opportunities across maintenance, breakdown support and field service.

About the role

You'll play an important role in maintaining the reliability and performance of heavy mobile mining equipment across mining operations.

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

Experience working on CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi or Liebherr equipment will be highly regarded.
