Job summary
Ekidna Enterprises Pty Ltd seeks experienced HME and Field Diesel Fitters for ongoing work at Queensland open-cut coal mines in the Bowen Basin. You will perform field maintenance, breakdown support, servicing and inspections while adhering to mine-site safety procedures.
We offer a 7/7 roster or ad-hoc shutdown work, paid travel, accommodation, a field service ute and competitive pay rates based on experience, with ongoing opportunities on well-established mine sites.
Qualifications
- Qualified Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Proven mining maintenance experience
- Comfortable working autonomously in the field
- Strong safety and compliance focus
- Current Australian work rights

Diesel Fitters – HME & Field

Ekidna Enterprises are seeking experienced HME and Field Diesel Fitters for ongoing work at QLD open-cut coal mines in the Bowen basin.
Key Responsibilities
- Field maintenance and breakdown support
- Scheduled servicing and inspections
- Diagnostics, fault finding and component change-outs
- Working safely within mine site procedures
Equipment Experience (Required)
- Rope shovels
- Draglines
- Heavy Mobile Equipment (trucks, dozers, graders, loaders)
- Hydraulic excavators
- Light vehicles and ancillary fleet
About You
- Qualified Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Proven mining maintenance experience
- Comfortable working autonomously in the field
- Strong safety and compliance focus
- Current Australian work rights
