Job summary

EXCIS is seeking a proactive Desktop Support Technician to manage hardware, software, and IT assets across multiple locations in Australia. You will diagnose issues from error codes, replace faulty hardware, and maintain stock records while supporting Windows and Office environments.

With a minimum of 3 years in IT desktop support, you will communicate effectively with users, work independently, and contribute to team success in an on-site role with a 8:30–17:00 schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of IT desktop support or similar role (L2).
• Fluent English in spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret error codes to diagnose issues.
• Swap out faulty hardware and upgrade components as required.
• Trace faults using diagnostic devices and software.
• Resolve issues with applications using knowledge articles and documentation.
• Provide working technical knowledge of Windows OS to resolve issues or perform full PC rebuilds.
• Support Microsoft Office products, antivirus, and desktop services.
• Assist the support staff of other service providers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Supervise the flow of stocked goods and maintain inventory records.
• Oversee ordering, storage, and control of inventory; generate IT stock reports.
