Job summary

Datacom AU is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer based in Orange, NSW to deliver end-user IT services on-site at the customer location. You will handle incoming tickets, hardware troubleshooting, device provisioning for new starters, and mobility management, ensuring high-quality support aligns with service levels.

The role emphasizes clear communication, autonomous work, and a proactive approach to resolving issues and maintaining IT assets for customers across industries.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering end-user services and resolving incidents.
• Ability to meet SLA commitments.
• Familiar with laptops, desktops, printers, AV equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Be the reliable first point of contact; log, triage and resolve tickets to documented standards.
• Troubleshoot desktop and laptop faults, performance issues, driver and patch problems.
• Handle identity and access requests, password resets, MFA re-registration, new starter accounts.
• Provision devices for new starters with standard build and applications.
• Manage mobility devices: phones/tablets, policy config, app issues and re-provisioning.
• Keep hardware, peripherals and print services running; warranty and repair coordination.
• Document resolution notes and knowledge base entries to help colleagues.
