Job summary

Better Rehab is seeking an Occupational Therapist to lead the growth of our OT services across the Nowra region. You will develop leadership skills as the team expands, while delivering client-centred care within NDIS and Support at Home programs.

Work autonomously from a home-office setup, joining Wollongong team meetings and regional support. You’ll thrive with mentoring pathways, PD funds, and a flexible, collaborative work environment that values clinician input and progression.

Qualifications

• Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist; limited may be considered.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
• NDIS check, Working with Children Check, and Police Check (or willing to obtain).
• 1+ years of post-graduate experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct meaningful assessments and design impactful therapy plans in diverse environments, including participants’ homes, day centres, parks, and community spaces.
• Build enduring relationships with clients and observe the lasting impact of your work.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to innovatively tackle complex cases and explore new treatment approaches.

Better Rehab is looking for someone to be an instrumental lead in growing our occupational therapy services across the Nowra region. This is a great opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who is keen to develop their leadership skills as the region and team grows.

We work across both the NDIS and Support at Home programs, providing clinicians with a broad and varied caseload. This allows you to develop your skills across a range of areas, including activities of daily living (ADLs), capacity building, assistive technology (AT), equipment prescription and home modifications. You’ll have the opportunity to work with clients with diverse needs and develop practical, client-centred skills across different stages of their support journey.

As we don’t yet have an office in Nowra, you’ll need to have a suitable home-office set-up and be comfortable working autonomously. You’ll still be very much part of our Wollongong team, with the opportunity to join fortnightly team meetings and get involved in their regular social events as much or as little as you’d like. We also have a remote Speech Pathologist in the region for local support! It’s a great way to enjoy the flexibility of working from home while still being connected to a friendly and supportive team.

About You

• This role is open to Occupational Therapists with 1+ years of post-grad experience
