Better Rehab in Canberra is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our clinician-led team. You will conduct meaningful assessments and design therapy plans across client homes, day centres, and community environments, supporting development and independence.
With Full AHPRA registration and a driver’s license, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary group and access dedicated supervision, professional development funds, and travel reimbursement.
Structured onsite, one‑to‑one and group supervision, supporting your clinical and professional development! We work across both the NDIS and Support at Home programs, providing clinicians with a broad and varied caseload. This allows you to develop your skills across a range of areas, including activities of daily living (ADLs), capacity building, assistive technology (AT), equipment prescription, and home modifications. You’ll have the opportunity to work with clients with diverse needs and develop practical, client‑centred skills across different stages of their support journey.
Joining our Canberra team you’ll experience a warm, close‑knit group of 13 (and growing!) allied health professionals who genuinely enjoy working and spending time together. We’re big on team culture; think lunchtime Banangrams, café catch‑ups, running club, book club, trivia nights and live music outings. Based in Bruce, our bright, modern office has three clinic rooms, on‑site parking and easy access to Canberra’s major ring roads. Having grown rapidly, we’re in an exciting phase of development and looking for like‑minded clinicians to grow with us.
For starters, we're clinician‑led at every level, all the way to the top, so we know what it’s like being in the trenches of care. We’ve built the kind of workplace we always wished existed. Where we don't just say we trust our clinicians – we show it.
We're after Occupational Therapists who get restless when they see room for improvement and aren't afraid to speak up about it. Who have a fire in their belly about participant care and treat participant goals like personal missions, not just checkboxes on a form.
The ones who have the courage to challenge ideas (yes, even ours) when participant’s interests are at stake.
If this sounds like you, we might just be right for each other.
Onshore applicants seeking sponsorship will be considered
At Better Rehab, we embrace diversity, inclusivity and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, identities, and abilities including neurodiverse individuals.
If you think you’d be great in this role but don’t meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply, we’d love to hear from you.
