Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Gunnedah region, with work close to home where possible. You will join a large, multi-disciplinary team delivering person-centred services in the community.

In this role you’ll manage a caseload, perform comprehensive assessments, set goals, deliver evidence‑based interventions, and ensure compliance with current legislation. Flexible hours and varied settings support a balanced lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA.
• Passionate about community-based support for people with disability.
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Time management & organisational skills to manage varied caseload.

Responsibilities

• Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments.
• Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant.
• Provide evidence‑based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals.
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance.

As our #AAA team continues to grow, we’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Gunnedah region. Depending on where you’re based, work close to home!
