Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Gunnedah region, with the option to work close to home depending on your location.

You will manage an allocated caseload, conduct assessments, set goals and deliver evidence‑based interventions to improve independence, health and wellbeing, while adhering to current legislation. Enjoy supervision, mentoring and career development within Ability Action Australia & MedHealth.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy registration with AHPRA.
• Passionate about community-based support for people with disability.
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Time management & organisational skills to manage varied caseload.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As our #AAA team continues to grow, we’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Gunnedah region. Depending on where you're based, work close to home!

In this role you will:

• Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
• Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
• Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA
• Passionate about community–based support for people with disability
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
• Time management & organisational skills to manage varied caseload
