Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Nowra region, depending on where you’re based. You will manage a caseload, deliver timely therapeutic services, and assess developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function to set personalized goals.

You will provide evidence-based interventions to improve quality of life while staying compliant with current legislation.

Qualifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA (must be current).
• Passionate about community-based support for people with disability.
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong time management and organisational skills to manage varied caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload and deliver timely therapeutic services.
• Assess participants’ development, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function.
• Interpret findings to formulate individualized treatment goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve quality of life and goals.

As our #AAA team continues to grow, we’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Nowra region, depending on where you're based!

In this role you will:

• Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
• Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
• Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA
• Passionate about community-based support for people with disability
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
• Time management & organisational skills to manage varied caseload
