Job summary

Western Health – Williamstown campus is seeking Allocation Officers for permanent part-time and casual, ongoing positions. You will coordinate the daily allocation of nursing and midwifery staff to vacancies, working with unit managers to respond to workforce needs and proactively plan upcoming shifts.

Ideal applicants will have strong organizational, time‑management and data entry skills, with excellent communication and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in administrative support, preferably in healthcare settings.
• Ability to coordinate staffing and scheduling across multiple sites.
• Proactive in planning and filling upcoming shifts with accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily allocation of pool, bank, part‑time and agency staff to vacancies.
• Work with unit managers to respond to staffing requirements.
• Proactively plan and fill upcoming shifts based on availability and skills.
• Liaise with external nursing agencies when needed.
• Maintain accurate workforce records and registrations.
• Process shift allocations and timesheets accurately within timeframes.
• Provide excellent customer service and clear communication.
