Job summary

Western Health in Melbourne's West seeks an experienced Coordinator for the Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Unit at Williamstown Hospital to lead recruitment and staffing across nursing and allied roles.

You will drive centralised recruitment, oversee bank and agency staffing, and partner with Unit Managers to develop proactive workforce strategies, supported by data-driven insights and a commitment to staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

This is a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife role with current AHPRA registration.
Demonstrated management and leadership experience in healthcare.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Well-developed organisational and analytical skills to manage priorities.
Experience with workforce management information systems and rostering platforms.
Collaborative, adaptable leadership with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and support centralised recruitment for RN, Midwives, ENs, RUSON/Ms and HCWs.
Provide leadership to nursing and midwifery bank and pool staff.
Oversee bank, pool and agency staffing for timely coverage.
Collaborate with Unit Managers to develop proactive workforce strategies.
Monitor staffing metrics, roster compliance and trends with data-driven recommendations.
Support performance management, training compliance and staff wellbeing.
