Job summary

The University of Newcastle – Tamworth campus invites applications for an Associate Lecturer in Nursing (Teaching Intensive). This part-time (0.6 FTE), 12-month fixed-term appointment will contribute to delivering the Bachelor of Nursing, provide engaging learning experiences, support student success and collaborate with regional health partners.

You will bring current AHPRA nursing registration, a master’s-level qualification, and prior adult-teaching experience, with recent clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Current nursing registration with AHPRA with no restrictions.
• Master’s degree or higher.
• Experience in adult teaching and learning.
• Recency of practice in acute general nursing (450 hours in the past five years).
• Ability to deliver the Bachelor of Nursing program and use simulation-based teaching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging learning experiences for the Bachelor of Nursing.
• Support student success and retention.
• Collaborate on curriculum development and governance.
• Engage with regional health partners and industry.
