Job summary

University of Newcastle seeks an Associate Lecturer in Nursing (Teaching Intensive) at the Tamworth campus. This part-time, 0.6FTE 12‑month Fixed-Term contract offers involvement in delivering the Bachelor of Nursing, student support, and engagement with regional health partners.

You will contribute to teaching with simulation-based and work-integrated learning, collaborate across campuses, and pursue scholarly activities to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications

• Current nursing registration with AHPRA without restrictions.
• Post-graduate qualification at master’s level or higher.
• Experience in adult teaching and learning.
• Recency of general nursing practice (450 hours over the past five years).

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Bachelor of Nursing program with high-quality teaching.
• Provide student support and monitor retention and success.
• Incorporate simulation-based learning and work-integrated learning.
• Collaborate across Tamworth, Callaghan and Central Coast campuses on governance and curriculum.
• Engage with community and industry partners and participate in scholarly activities.
