Job summary

The University of Newcastle – Tamworth campus invites applications for an Associate Lecturer in Nursing (Teaching Intensive). This 0.6FTE, 12-month fixed-term role joins the School of Nursing and Midwifery to deliver the Bachelor of Nursing with an emphasis on simulation-based learning, work-integrated learning and student support across regional health partners.

Qualifications

• Current nursing registration with AHPRA with no restrictions or conditions.
• Post-graduate qualification at master’s level or higher.
• Experience in adult teaching and learning.
• Recency of general nursing practice (450 hours in the past five years).

• Deliver engaging learning experiences in the Bachelor of Nursing program.
• Support student success and retention through high‑quality teaching and assessment.
• Engage with regional health partners and contribute to curriculum development and governance.
