Job summary

The University of Newcastle – Tamworth campus invites applications for an Associate Lecturer in Midwifery (Teaching Intensive). This role focuses on delivering high-quality teaching, student support, and engagement with regional health partners to strengthen midwifery education.

As a teaching-intensive position, you will contribute to Bachelor and Master of Midwifery programs and collaborate across campuses with opportunities for scholarly activity and professional development.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a midwife with AHPRA with no restrictions, notations or conditions.
• Post-graduate qualification at master’s level or higher.
• Experience in adult teaching and learning.
• Recency of practice in midwifery (450 hours) in past five years.
• Training in University-specific systems (Canvas) will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Bachelor of Midwifery and Master of Midwifery (Graduate Entry) programs.
• Provide high-quality teaching and student support to enhance learning outcomes.
• Engage with regional health partners and contribute to governance and curriculum development.
