Job summary

Sharp & Carter is sourcing a State Manager for New South Wales to lead 30 stores, from Sydney CBD to regional centres. You’ll partner with the Head of Retail, manage store managers and drive results, including opening new sites and building strong local teams.

Based in NSW, you’ll coach managers on sales, staffing, rosters and stock, own the budget and P&L, and ensure NSW standards are consistent across locations while collaborating with buying and marketing teams.

Qualifications

• Managed multiple retail sites as State, Area or Regional Manager, or senior store manager.
• Able to read a P&L and translate numbers into action plans.
• Prefer developing people over replacing them.
• Driver's license and willingness to travel across NSW, including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Spend most of the week in stores coaching store managers on sales, staffing, rosters and stock.
• Own the NSW budget and P&L; track store performance and explain variances.
• Lead store openings and refits; ensure standards are consistent across locations.
• Provide insights from the shop floor to head office for range and promotions.
